General Manager – Toyota Dealership
We are seeking an experienced and strategic General Manager to lead the operations of Don Ringler Toyota. This individual will oversee all departments - Sales, Service, Parts, and Finance & Insurance (F&I) - ensuring profitability, operational excellence, and a culture centered on guest satisfaction, employee engagement, and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities
Provide overall leadership and direction to all dealership departments, fostering a customer-first, high-performance culture.
Develop and execute business strategies to achieve financial goals, growth targets, and manufacturer objectives.
Review monthly financial statements for accuracy, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement corrective action where needed.
Work closely with ownership and department managers to develop budgets, forecasts, and operational plans.
Hire, mentor, and develop employees and department leaders; conduct regular performance evaluations and set short-term and long-term goals to support individual and team growth.
Develop and promote career path opportunities within each department, ensuring employees have clear growth trajectories, ongoing training, and mentorship support.
Lead and participate in management meetings to assess performance, align priorities, and share best practices across departments.
Ensure compliance with manufacturer standards, company policies, and all local, state and federal regulations.
Maintain strong relationships with Toyota, Gulf States Toyota (GST) and other OEM partners, financial institutions, and key vendors.
Work collaboratively with Sales, Service, Parts, and Finance leaders to drive performance, coordinate departmental business plans, and ensure alignment with dealership-wide profitability and guest satisfaction goals.
Provide input and strategic insight on dealership marketing and advertising initiatives, collaborating with department managers and ownership to ensure alignment with Toyota brand standards, co-op programs, and overall business objectives. Verify that marketing activities produce measurable outcomes.
Monitor daily operations and ensure processes support exceptional customer service and operational efficiency.
Address customer concerns and escalations promptly and professionally.
Report directly to ownership on dealership performance, profitability, and strategic initiatives.
Qualifications
Proven leadership experience in an automotive dealership, preferably as a General Manager or high-level Department Manager.
Strong understanding of dealership financials, including forecasting, budgeting, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
Demonstrated ability to build, motivate, and lead large, diverse teams.
Exceptional communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
Thorough knowledge of automotive sales, service, and F&I processes.
Experience with Toyota, Gulf States Toyota (GST) or another major OEM preferred.
